About Us
Helping Musicians Grow Since 1962
Hayward La Honda Music Camp was founded and run by Bay Area music teachers since 1962. Our first meeting was in Yosemite. Organized by David Martin and Ed Krenz, it has been going ever since. Now located in the Santa Cruz Mountains at the Jones Gulch YMCA. Milt Bowerman and his son Marvin Bowerman have been instrumental in keeping the camp going for over 50 years. It has helped spawn countless musical lives. Many alumni have gone on to stellar professional music careers and many have become amazing music educators.
